The Hudson Valley men's and women's basketball programs have remained ranked in the latest NJCAA national poll, marking the first time in the modern NJCAA poll era (2001-2002), both programs have been nationally ranked at the same time in back-to-back weeks.
This week's women's basketball poll keeps the Vikings at the No. 10 spot. Hudson Valley recently completed a 2-0 weekend at the NHTI Tournament in Concord, N.H. in which they defeated host NHTI 90-80 and U-Maine Augusta 89-60. The women's program is currently riding a six-game win streak and are back in action this Thursday, Jan. 10 when they travel to play Clinton.
The men's team dropped one spot to No. 8 following a holiday break in which they did not have any games. The Vikings finished the first half of the season with an 11-2 record and have won eight of their previous 10 games. The men's program kicked off the spring semester with a 91-79 victory over Columbia-Greene this afternoon in the McDonough Sports Complex.
