On Sunday, the Vikings took on top-seeded Niagara County Community College (43-8) in the finals, where Hudson Valley would have to win two consecutive games to advance to Nationals. The Vikings got off to a hot start, gaining an early 5-1 lead after two innings, but the Thunderwolves answered with a 4-run third to tie the game. After Teitter doubled to centerfield in the fourth to regain a 6-5 lead, Niagara got two back in the bottom half of the inning to take a 7-6 lead. The Thunderwolves would tack on three more runs, before an 8-run eighth inning to put the game out of reach. Coleman hit his 14th homerun of the season in the second to finish with two RBIs, and Teitter led the team with three hits and added two RBIs in the loss.
Zuba, Teitter, and Koshgarian all earned All-Tournament Team honors.
