Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (11-2) jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they defeated Kingsborough 81-65 on Tuesday evening in Brooklyn, NY.
As the first half ended, the Vikings held a slim 24-20 advantage and went on a 18-7 run to take a 42-27 lead into halftime. Hudson Valley continued to shoot well in the second half and increased their defensive intensity to preserve the win.
Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) led the Viking offense with a team-high 23 points and O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) added 14 points, including 10 points in the first half. Josiah McCall(Beacon/Beacon) finished with 15 points, which included four 3-point field goals made in the first half.
Hudson Valley is off until 2019 when they welcome Columbia-Greene to the McDonough Sports Complex on Tuesday, January 8 at 1 p.m.
