Hudson Valley's women's basketball team (4-1) outscored Ulster 45-17 in the second half and recorded an 80-36 win on Tuesday evening in the McDonough Sports Complex.
Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) led all scorers with 18 points and added seven rebounds, five assists and two steals as she guided Hudson Valley to their fourth win of the season. Caitlin Estes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) nearly recorded a double-double in her first game of the season and finished with 17 points with eight rebounds.
Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) and Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) combined to score 29 points. Engster had a great all-around and nearly missed a triple-double as she had 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals. Graber collected 14 points on 5-of-8 from the floor and added five rebounds.
Women's basketball returns home on Thursday, November 29 to play Orange at 5 p.m.
