Full Article: Local campus watch: Lyndsay Miller helps power HVCC
The Hudson Valley women's basketball team was featured in the latest Times Union's Local campus watch on Dec. 24. Vikings freshman guard, Lyndsay Miller was highlighted for her recent success on the court as well as her recent NJCAA national and regional player of the year honors she received last week.
Miller had a career week as the Vikings finished 2-0 with wins against Kingsborough and Springfield Tech. Miller finished with a career-best 26 points in the road win over Kingsborough and she followed it up with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Vikings 114-82 win against Springfield Tech. Lyndsay filled the stat sheet last week as she averaged 23 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
The Vikings women's basketball program is currently ranked No. 10 in the latest NJCAA national poll with a 10-3 record. The program is returns to the court after the holiday break for the NHTI Tournament hosted by Concord Community College in Concord, New Hampshire on Jan. 5-6, 2019.
